Ellie House

Owner/Studio Director

Ellie began dancing locally at age three, and has studied Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, and Hip Hop. She was a competitive dancer for six years in groups and solos, in various dance genres. Inspired by Ballet Master Mr. Roman Zinovyev, she began focusing on ballet; studying at Olympic Ballet, Emerald Ballet and attending Los Angeles Ballet Summer Intensive. She has performed in well known ballets such as Nutcracker, Gisselle and Paquita and has competed in the Youth America Grand Prix Ballet Competition. Ellie began teaching dance at age sixteen and enjoys sharing her love for dance with her students. She furthered her dance education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, studying under Louis Kavouras of Erik Hawkins Dance, Margot Mink Colbert of Julliard and Dolly Kelepecz of Los Angeles Ballet among other guest teachers and choreographers. Ellie graduated from UNLV with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance and Choreography, and a Minor in Pilates. She was privileged to be a part of the Scarlet Dance Line while attending college where she cheered on the UNLV Football team and UNLV Basketball team.

Ellie earned an accredited Pilates Minor from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. While at UNLV, she was privileged to study Pilates under Dolly Kelepecz, who opened the first Pilates studio in Las Vegas in 1997. Ellie also had the opportunity to perform a Pilates internship in Fugisawa, Japan where she expanded her knowledge. Ellie’s style focuses on increased flexibility, muscle strength and tone and muscular control and balance.

After graduating college, Ellie began working locally for multiple dance studios as a Teacher, Choreographer and Competition Team Director.

Recently, Ellie joined Platinum National Dance Competition. Touring with Platinum gives her behind the scenes experience with a major Dance Competition.

Fun Fact: Ellie is obsessed with Monsters, Inc and The Woobles.

Jody House

Owner/Executive Director

Jody has a deep love for dance and a passion for supporting each child’s journey in the dance world. She provides a welcoming, supportive environment where students can explore their passion, develop their skills, and build confidence both inside and outside the studio. As a former dance mom, she understands fostering a sense of family among the students, parents, and instructors. Jody is passionate about helping young dancers reach their full potential and creating a space where creativity, discipline, and fun come together. You can often find Jody cheering from the sidelines or helping create memorable dance experiences for each dancer.

Fun Fact: Jody’s favorite food is the potato and she loves the Muppets.

Liz Barth

Teacher

Liz was born and raised in Western Washington. She began dancing at age 4. Growing up as a competitive dancer, she has trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Acro, Modern, Musical Theater, and has even dabbled in Bollywood, Ballroom and Irish. Liz has performed with the tap company Tap 24.7 in Seattle, Washington. She also performed with her high school crew in Hip-Hop shows around Western Washington. At age 16 she started her teaching career and immediately fell in love with teaching dance. Her goal is to help her students grow into amazing, safe dancers and well rounded and kind humans. Currently a college student studying biology and physical sciences, Liz approaches dance from a scientific view in hopes of preventing injuries with her students and extending their dance careers. Liz has been certified under Relative Motion Teaching Certification. Liz has choreographed multiple group and solo dances for regional competitions that have had high scores and Tap Choreography awards. She has continued her dance education by attending dance educator conferences and workshops both regionally and nationally. She is excited to share her love of dance and inspire the same for her students!

Fun Fact: Liz has a pet Betta fish named Moon Supreme, and he has three shrimp roommates, all named Bryan.

Tylyn Acoba

Teacher

Tylyn was born in Hawaii where she lived for 10 years. She began gymnastics at age 2 and started competing at age 5. She moved to Washington in 2010 where she continued gymnastics. When she was 12 she decided to try dance. She started initially with an Acro class and soon discovered her love of dance. Tylyn has taken classes in Acro, Hip Hop, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz, and most recently Tap. She was a part of a competition team for 3 years. In 2021, she started teaching Ballet/Tap combo classes for ages 3-7.

Abby Moynihan

Teacher

Abby began dancing at the age of three. She spent 13 years training in Massachusetts where she found her love for dance. While there she was given the opportunity to become an assistant teacher. Abby has trained in multiple styles of dance including Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Modern, and Contemporary.

She competed locally in Massachusetts for 10 years before moving to Arizona where she continued training and competing until graduating high school. She continued her education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance and Choreography. UNLV strengthened her technical foundation and she found a passion for choreography. She has continued her training by attending various workshops and festivals including the Phoenix Tap Fest and dance educator conferences.

Fun fact: Her favorite animal is the penguin and she loves to bake in her free time.
