General Policies
Minimum Enrollment
We require at least four students per class, and may cancel classes with fewer students. If a class is canceled, students may receive a full refund if an alternative class can't be found.
Costumes
Costumes are ordered in December for our June production. All tuition from September through December and costume payments must be paid in full before costumes are ordered. All costumes are Non-Refundable once ordered. All costumes are made to order, not made to exact measurements. Costumes will not be tried on, nor sent home, until all payments owed to Studio are current, including tuition and/or any outstanding fees.
Student Pickup
We are unable to take responsibility for our students before or after their scheduled classes and it is the responsibility of the parent to ensure their child is picked up and dropped off in a timely manner. In the case of an emergency or unavoidable delay, please contact the studio immediately to inform us of the situation so we can keep your child calm and safe until they can be collected. All students MUST be picked up within 10 minutes of the end of class.
Belongings/Personal Property
We are not responsible for any stolen or misplaced property on the studio premises and we encourage our families to avoid bringing valuable items into the studio where possible. Students and parents are responsible for their belongings. Please label your property with your name and contact information.
Please check the lost and found, as items will be donated to charity regularly.
Teacher Change/Time Change
We reserve the right to change teachers or timetables when necessary at any time throughout the year. With any change tuition is non-refundable.
Intellectual Property
Choreography, costuming and studio policies remain the intellectual property of NGPA.
Corrections/Feedback/Costume Fitting
Dance education sometimes requires hands-on instruction as well as verbal instruction. Instructors/staff may correct dancers by touching their arms, legs, feet, hips, back, and head to move them in the correct alignment position, for choreography, instructional purposes, spotting skills and for partnering, and/or costume fittings or measurements. Student(s) and guardians(s) acknowledge that this is a common standard in dance instruction and understand that it is their responsibility to communicate clearly with the instructor(s), staff, and/or the Director if any form of touch is unacceptable to them.
Dancers will receive feedback, edits and corrections from instructors. Feedback and corrections are an opportunity to improve and grow as dancers
